Spider Veins

The Palomar Lux1064 Nd;Yag laser was specifically developed for the treatment of leg veins. The therapeutic basis of the Lux 1064 is selective heating of the target (vein) with minimal heating of the non-targeted tissue (skin), thus the heat is absorbed in the unwanted vessel, collapsing it, while protecting the outer skin layer.

Treatment of leg veins requires pre and post-treatment preparation. We recommend wearing support hose with a gradient of 20-30 one week prior to treatment and one week following for optimum treatment results. Patients also should avoid exercise and some medications for several days after treatment.
Several treatments may be required.
